Toimiala – Industry
Toimiala muodostuu joukosta yrityksiä, joiden tuotteet ovat läheisiä substituutteja toisilleen. Toimiala ei ole sama kuin se liiketoiminta-alue, jolla yritys haluaa kilpailla (Porter 1980). – The group of firms producing products that are close substitutes for each other. The definition of an industry is not the same as the definition of where the firm wants to compete (Porter 1980).
